My name is Ashley. I was diagnosed in 2019 with adenomyosis, after struggling for 7yrs (at the time) with infertility. I had previously had a tubal pregnancy, in which I lost my left fallopian tube. Not long after, I found out my husband was having an affair (prior to the pregnancy) and we ended our marriage.

I am now remarried to a wonderful man and we want to start a family. We’ve tried for almost 5yrs now, with no BFPs. Since, I’ve also been diagnosed with the MTHFR gene mutation. I was told to change my diet, and I did. I lost over 50lbs. My husband did the change with me and lost almost 100lbs. We are very serious about starting a family and want to not only be healthy enough to start, but healthy enough to be around long enough to see our great-grandchildren.

A few months ago, we were informed my husband’s sperm are slow. Dr told him to drink tart cherry juice. He does RELIGIOUSLY. So, that, coupled with my issues, still no BFP. Dr said I needed to have FemVue done to see if my remaining tube is open and viable. Which alone will cost around $700. Praying that it is viable or I just have a blockage from the adeno. Our next step is IUI.

I’ve never met anyone as good with children as my husband. He’s so tender hearted. He was adopted and has mentioned several times that he isn’t opposed to it (neither am I), but we would love to have the opportunity to have one of our own, (biologically), first. If not, that is our next step after trying IUI.
